Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - Respiratory Therapy at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital

Under the supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Care Services and upon the request of the physician, the Respiratory Care Practitioner sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness according to established departmental policies. Has an active role in in-service education and quality assurance program. Demonstrates behavior practices that reflect the philosophy and mission of our sponsors, Providence Health and Services, our founders, the Dominican Sisters, and Providence Mount Carmel Hospital's Standards of Conduct.

$7,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

Shift Details: Part-TIme/ Variable shifts.

This is a part-time, variable shift position working 48 hours per two-week pay period.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, AMA accredited

  • Must be licensed and currently registered as a professional respiratory care practitioner in the State of Washington; new graduates of AMA accredited school must be in the process of entry level exam and must obtain permanent license within two (2) months of hire

  • Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR card OR obtain within three (3) months of employment

  • Must have current ACLS certification OR actively be in the process of enrollment and certification

  • Must be Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certified OR obtain within the first year of employment

  • Must be PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certified OR obtain within the first of year of employment
