Providence Surgical Technologist - Operating Room in Centralia, Washington
Description:
Providence is calling a Surgical Technologist (0.6 FTE, Variable Shift) to the Surgery Department at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.
The Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical support personnel to provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgery.
In this position you will:
Provides intra-operative care as an operating room team member in accordance with hospital policy/ procedures and within departmental area and national standards.
Ensures a safe and supportive operating room environment.
Assists in housekeeping duties and cleanliness of the department as directed to ensure safe patient environment.
Identifies and maintains standards of performance and education.
Uses budgeted resources (personnel, supplies, and equipment) properly.
Provides assistance in the maintenance of material resources.
This position could have regular and recurrent direct clinical contact with Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current Surgical Technologist license in Washington State
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program
