Providence Health & Services Quality Improvement Specialist in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling a Quality Improvement Specialist (0.9 FTE, Days) to work in Quality Assurance at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to perform functions that support the hospital and medical staff to continually improve patient care, reduces risk, and provide excellent customer service. The Quality Improvement Specialist provides support, facilitation, and coordination to support clinical and process improvements throughout the organization.
In this position you will:
Lead or participate with hospital and medical staff to identify areas for improvement related to patient care practices and clinical support services.
Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures as well as the development and review of departmental goals and objectives.
Provide coaching and consultation for Mangers/Directors/Staff.
Perform or support clinical studies and review activities.
Support triage of patient and family concerns about care or services specific to the Medical Staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited school or actively enrolled in a Bachelors education program
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
Three (3) years of experience within a health care organization
In-depth knowledge of clinical issues and patient care practices
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Masters Degree from an accredited school
Knowledge of and experience with process improvement theories and methods, adult learning principles, and data analysis methods
