Providence is calling a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist (Per Diem, Variable) in Phlebotomy to Providence Centralia

In this position you will:

  • Provide technologist support and clerical support

  • Assist with patient registration.

  • Accurately inputs information into the computer and maintains related paperwork.

  • Handle specimen collection (where appropriate), preparing samples for reference laboratories.

  • Perform procurement and processing of clinical specimens for laboratory analysis and reporting of results.

  • Performs phlebotomy duties on inpatient, outpatient and emergency department patients.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • One (1) year working experience or satisfactory completion of six (6) months medically oriented training program

  • Familiarization with computer skills

  • Typing ability at 40 WPM

  • Ability to perform pre-test counseling for HIV testing per WACs

  • Assistant Phlebotomist Certification (MA-P)

  • WSDL and safe driving record.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Current CLP (ASCP) Registered Phlebotomist or equivalent certification
