Providence Health & Services Speech Language Pathologist - Home Health in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) (Home Health, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County in Everett, Washington. In this position you will:
Provide in-home diagnostic and therapeutic treatment to patients who exhibit speech language or swallowing disorders.
Help patients and their families maintain dignity and independence while receiving safe, effective rehabilitation in the security of their home.
Provide initial patient evaluation in accordance to physician request in order to initiate appropriate treatment, which is reasonable in the terms of accepted practice and necessary to recovery of function.
Educate patient and family (or caretaker) regarding the therapy and maintenance of the speech or swallowing disorder.
Use critical thinking, decisive judgment, and your ability to make independent decisions.
Utilize software for the maintenance of patient records and communication with team members.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an institution approved by the state board in collaboration with the American Speech Therapy Association
Current Speech Therapy Licensure in the state of Washington
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
Current Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Valid Washington State driver’s license and have access to daily use of an insured, reliable vehicle or an alternate ability to travel to sites as required
One (1) year of Speech Therapy experience with adult physical disabilities
